Restaurants and cafés in Åland, Finland

Your favourite memory of this island domain may well be a culinary experience!

There are restaurants and cafés all over the Åland Islands. From the town centre of Mariehamn out to the bedrock of the islands you can partake of the finest cuisine and of Åland's fresh produce, above all good fish.

When day goes into night you'll find plenty of entertainment and live music in the bars and nightclubs of Mariehamn.

Food you will experience only in Åland

The Åland Islands have a host of taste experiences to offer such as local produce, fish dishes and rich black bread, not to mention the staple traditional Åland pancakes with their classic accompaniments - prune purée and whipped cream.

Åland's delicacies include the ÅCA dairy's ripe and creamy cheeses, Stallhagen beer, apple and sea buckthorn products and the Ålanders' own "hemvete" bread.
