Summer 2008

Summer 2008 will be Stall Aftonsol's seventeenth riding camp season. In a few weeks of the summer we arrange camps for children and youth and evening courses for adults. New this summer is adult riding camps. The week after midsummer we accept up to 10 adult riders for an exclusive training camp.

Our motto is small-scale quality with a personal touch and we offer the following:
• educated riding teachers with long experience
• pleasant and well-schooled horses and ponies
• two riding lessons a day and theory in small groups
• a complete establishment with great facilities for both riders and horses
• good food in pleasant surroundings

During your stay we want you to enjoy the entire package from horses and riding lessons to our food. To be able to live up to that we are several who will take care of you. At the camps we are four or five persons working with a team of about 20 riders. We divide up the riders in three to four groups, according to their level of experience and depending on the camp.
We can offer 25 horses and ponies, stable, large outdoor sand manage, indoor arena, accommodation in a cottage and in the arena building theory facilities/dining room and a changing room with sauna.

Stall Aftonsol is situated with a view across the Åland Sea and just 300 metres from the beach and rocks. A dip in the sea is almost a must…

How to get to Åland
Åland has very good ferry communications to the Finnish mainland and to Sweden. You can also come with airplane. Fares are low, but remember to book well in advance. If you want to find out more, contact the Åland Tourist Information, phone: 018 - 24000.
