King´s course
The King´s course has more of an inland and
forest character than the Castle course, but nevertheless it has
several scenic views of the sea. At the 6th hole you will find yourself
on top of a hill amongst stunted pines and overlooking Åland´s largest
inland sea, Lumparn. Below you lies a magnificent par 3-hole where you
might need anything from a no. 9 iron to a spoon, depending on the wind.
This course is situated in the ancient hunting grounds of the Royal
Manor of Kastelholm where swedish kings used to hunt elk hundreds of
years ago. One of them was the famous king Gustavus Vasa, from whom the
course derives its name, the ’King´s course’ (Kungsbanan). We welcome
you here - not for an elk hunt - but for birdies and eagles.
