Activities
In Åland there is much to do for active children. Jump on the safari tram and visit the wild boars and the red deer Visit a farm and pet the animals. Arrange a go-cart competition or challenge the family in a round of mini-golf.
You can also book a seal-safari or a boat-outing to the Kobba Klintar, Källskär, Sälskär or any other exciting island. Walk the troll trail in Getabergen or angle for large pikes. In Mariehamn the children are allowed to angle at Lilla Holmen and from the other piers of Mariehamn.
Museums
The Åland Maritime Museum and the Museum Ship Pommern in Mariehamn, the castle of Kastelholm in Sund and the Åland Fire Brigade Museum in Hammarland are fun museums for children.
The Åland Hunting and Fishing Museum in Eckerö is also popular among children. Here they can make their own animal-shaped museum souvenir made from pewter or participate in the pearl excavation.
Sun and sea
Sun and sea are part of the summer. Choose between shallow beaches, beaches with diving towers or fun water games in the swimming centre Mariebad.
