After four successful festivals, the award-winning Island in the Sun has positioned itself among Åland’s sunny summer events. This year we will celebrate our 5th anniversary with many surprises.
Once again we offer a great mix of live music , hot summer nights and atmosphere à la Astrid Lindgren’s Crow Island. Island in the Sun is also one of the few festivals where a dip in the sea is a must after a hot live concert.
There will be well-known and unknown artists, DJ’s frantic dance music, artists showing their innovative pieces and local delicacies, such as smoked fish and ice-cold drinks. This year a number of exciting artists from have been booked:

The trip to the festival island of Jurmo by an archipelago ferry is also an experience. There are good bus and ferry connections from one island to another.
