The charming festival for all music and poetry lovers is held every summer by the sea in Geta, in Northern Åland. Here you can enjoy the very best Nordic songs and poetry.
Geta has a unique culture and natural environment: The Northern Baltic Sea, Getabergen hills, and rural landscapes characterised by pre-historic and medieval eras as well as present times. The natural surroundings offer an impor- tant setting for the festival and the artists, and create an intimate atmosphere for the audience and the performers. Djupviksgrottan caves, Isaksö village harbour, Norsträsk lake, Kummelberg and Dånö Gamlan island are just a few of the places that the festival visitors have experienced in previous years.
The festival has been visited by numerous artists during its 18 years. In 2011 we had the pleasure to hear Mullin Mallin, Oscar Danielson, Susanne Ringell, Anders Larsson and Steen Svanholm in concert, not to forget many other artists and our local talent.
