Excursions on your own

There is so much to discover in Åland. What are you particularly interested in? Is it the archipelago, nature, the islands' history or maybe its shipping? Here you can get inspiration for your own excursion to the Åland island world.

There are plenty of books to read - in Swedish there is, among others, "Åland" by Ann-Gerd Steinby, published by Bilda förlag. There are many Finnish and English books as well. Most travel agencies will make suggestions if you ask them, but you are also always welcome to contact us at Visitaland. It is our job to help you!
