Nature trails

Naturstig, vandring på klipporAll hiking in Åland is easy to medium in difficulty and provides the opportunity to experience nature in terms of forest, meadows and archipelago with the sea always close by.

The nature trails are wonderful to walk along, especially in spring and in the early summer. The hazelnut forest meadows display drifts of wood anemones, hepaticas and yellow wood anemones in spring and later meadow flowers such as red campion, wood crane's bill and cow parsley.

But it is relaxing to walk in nature in the autumn as well, when the leaves on the trees exchange their green colour for sparkling yellow, orange, and red.
