Island hopping

Go for a trip among the islands in the archipelago with the archipelago ferries. Along the way there are many exciting stops. Make a round trip with car, motorcycle or bicycle. Stay over night so you'll get more time to explore.

The archipelago ferries' Northern Line takes you from Hummelvik in Vårdö to Kumlinge, Enklinge and Brändö. The sights along the way are for example the beautiful captain villas in Vårdö and the museum farmstead Hermas, in Enklinge.

If you choose the Southern Line you will discover Föglö, Sottunga, which is the smallest municipality in Finland, and Kökar with its untamed nature. Don't miss Count Åkerhielm's gardens on the island Källskär in the Kökar archipelago.

The archipelago village Degerby is a fine suggestion for a day tour in the summer. Park your car in Svinö, Lumparland and take the Föglö ferry. Half an hour later you are in Degerby and ready to explore the picturesque little village.

Make reservations in time
Remember to book your trip with the archipelago ferries in good time, especially in the summer when the ferries can be fully booked. Cars, motorcycles, motor homes and other vehicles travel for a fee. Bicycles and passengers are free.

Contact Ålandstrafiken by calling +358 18 525 100 for reservations and further information about timetables and fees.
