Ålands Idrottscenter

There are 49 different sporting establishments and sport courses in Åland. The establishments are of high quality and make all kinds of sports possible - football (indoor and outdoors), ice hockey, floor hockey, handball, boule, swimming, table tennis, judo, bowling, shooting, basketball, badminton, tennis, golf, track and field, equestrian sports, windsurfing, sailing, volleyball, cycling, basketball and gymnastics - the list goes on and on.

Sport halls of top class

For example there is the football and track and field arena Wiklöf Holding Arena and the ice hall Islandia, centrally in Mariehamn, and Eckerö Hallen in Eckerö with a full-size indoor field with artificial grass.

Ålands Idrottscenter in Godby offers a complete establishment with swimming hall, sports hall, exercise trail and tennis courts. In the swimming centre Mariebad in Mariehamn, there is an adventure pool and an 8-lane exercise and competition pool.

Åland also offers a trotting racecourse of international standard at Ålandstravet in Mariehamn.

A complete complex for the sport lover. Here you can concentrate on your training or tough competitions. We make sure everything works seamlessly, no matter if it's a junior training camp or an international elite contest. Use our sporting establishment and stay in our new youth hostel. We have a conference room for up to 25 persons, a cafeteria and a flexible stage. There are tables and chairs for larger and smaller meetings, for up to 900 persons.

Both children and playful adults can enjoy themselves outdoors at the beach, or indoors in the popular recreational pools with waterfalls and swirls. From the tall tower, a waterslide runs down into the pool from dizzy heights.

The race got its name from the cannon that signals the start for the five hundred runners who are to run the whole way from Breidablick to Mariehamn.
