Tennis

There are many fine tennis courts in Åland. The majority are in Mariehamn and its vicinity.

At Idrottsparken in central Mariehamn there are four outdoor courts. Three of them are gravel courts while one is a hard-court paved with plexipave.

Some 4 kilometers from the centre of Mariehamn is the sport's hall Bollhalla that, apart from tennis courts also offers possibilities for gymnastics, badminton and billiards. Bollhalla has four outdoor gravel courts and three plexipave courts indoors.

In the countryside and in the archipelago

At Åland's Idrottscenter in Finström in the countryside of Åland there are two outdoor all-weather courts.

You can also find tennis courts in the archipelago municipalities. Vårdö offers a plexipave outdoor court and both Föglö and Kumlinge offer tennis courts at the schools.

Traditional tennis tournament

Each summer Mariehamnsspelen, an international tennis competition that has been played since 1928, takes place in Åland. This event is Ålands oldest active competition.
