The archipelago route

The archipelago route is a ferry connection in between the main Åland island, the archipelago islands and the Finnish mainland. The route also connects the islands with each other.

If you travel from Finland, the archipelago ferries are an alternative to the larger passenger ferries. The archipelago route also makes it possible for you to discover the Åland archipelago by means of island hopping.

Ålandstrafiken
The archipelago route is maintained by the Åland government and the communication department’s sea traffic authority.

Ålandstrafiken controls bookings, ticket sales and general information and also the administration of public transport in Åland.
