Take a colour & design themed walk around Mariehamn. The local crafts association, Ålands slöjd- och konsthantverksförening, presents a new summer exhibition 2,8KM FORM in 2013. – We wish to give the visitor a new kind of experience and something more than an ordinary exhibition, says Hanna Wiik-Rosenqvist, head for the Crafts Association.

Visit Åland arranges a photo contest with focus on food & drink in co-operation with the new Nordic food project ”Ny Nordisk Mat Åland”. The aim with the competition is to create a broader picture of the Ålandic gastronomy and to document the gastronomic region.

One of the world´s oldest preserved beers has been analyzed in order to recreate the original recipe for reproduction. The Stallhagen brewery of Åland will produce the beer that will be launched in 2014.
