Mariebad swimming pools and spa for young and old alike
Both children and playful adults can enjoy themselves outdoors at the beach, or indoors in the popular recreational pools with waterfalls and swirls. From the tall tower, a waterslide runs down into the pool from dizzy heights.
Mariebad also has an exercise pool and a teaching pool. In the winter you may also go for a winter bath outdoors. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, seek out the comfortable spa and relaxing area. Mariebad also has a café that serves warm appetizers and pastries. Uniquely situated by the beach
Mariebad offers a beautiful sea view as it is built over the sea bay Slemmern. Enjoy the refreshing sea breeze when you sit in the outdoor café or on the patio that runs around the entire building. This unique location also features a beach for swimming in the salty waters of the bay.
Swimming is the perfect activity for a training camp!
Mariebad is suitable for all ages and for all types of sporting groups – both swimmers and other sport interested people, like football or hockey players. Book one or more lanes in the exercise pool for practicing.
A visit to the adventure pool can be the team’s perfect way to relax after a tough match or practise in another sport centre. The relaxing area may be separately booked. The area is suitable for about 20 persons and features private changing rooms, sauna, steam sauna and bubble pool.
Comfortable treatments, like preventive massage, may be booked for the entire team or separately for individuals.
Relaxing with a spa
Book a pleasant spa-treatment for both body and soul. You may book for yourself or for groups up to 20 persons. If you want the total experience, we recommend our packages.
The treatment can be tailor-made for groups.

Massage for different needs and for different parts of the body. Beauty treatments, aroma therapy, body wraps, mud facials, and different kinds of spa and aroma therapy. Waxing and tan-without-sun spraying.
Groups and conferences
A visit to the relaxing area is an excellent evening activity for conference guests or other groups when you’re looking for experiences that will enhance your leisure time together. The spa-therapists are happy to arrange a treatment program for the group according to your request.
In Mariebad’s relaxing area there is room for 20 persons. Here are changing rooms, sauna, steam sauna and bubble pool. Admission always includes a visit to the adventure pool and the exercise pool.
Food and drinks may be ordered from the café in Mariebad.
Mariebad offer a conference room that seats 14 persons. The room is equipped standard with a whiteboard, paper pads and overhead projector. Additional equipment may be pre-ordered.

The cashier’s desk closes one hour before Mariebad closes. The relaxing area may be open also at other times for groups.
A recreational pool with different water attractions such as water cannons, a stream channel, a cave with a waterfall, massage niches, a pool that bubbles from the bottom etc. Separate children’s pool for the youngest. Outdoor swimming pool, 55 metre water slide, bubble pool and communal steam sauna. Traditional sauna available in all changing rooms. Educational and therapy pools. Exercise and competition pool with 8 lanes, each 25 metres long and 2 metres wide. The exercise pool has an Omega timekeeping system.
Relaxing area with comfortable chairs and changing rooms, steam sauna, sauna, bubble pool and conference room. Outdoor constructed beach, lawn, a jetty and a beach-volley court on sand. Winter bathing spot in the sea bay Slemmern, east of the building. Solarium Spa department with different treatment alternatives and a spa tub. The Island café serves coffee, snacks and light lunches. Both indoor and outdoor serving areas with a sea view.
Free parking for 93 cars.
The cashiers desk closes an hour before Mariebad closes the doors; the pools must be left at least 30 minutes before closing. Mariebad has a turnstile at the entrance, which is opened by a magnetic strip card. The card is programmed with visits or times according to the pricelist. Standard visiting time is 3 hours, longer visits for an additional fee.
The lockers in the changing rooms can be locked with padlocks which are considered to be the safest against burglary. You’ll have your own personal padlock and can rest assured that there will be no other keys than your own around. Buy your padlock for an affordable price in the reception or bring your own.
Morning swimming is arranged Tuesday to Friday mornings 6 am to 8 am. Note that the cashier desk is closed in the morning and you must bring pre-purchased tickets and your own padlock!

All bathing in Mariebad is at your own risk and parents are responsible for their minor children. Always respect the directions from the staff – the rules are for everybody’s comfort and safety.

The adventure pool is always staffed with lifeguards that make sure that safety regulations are followed. They are at your service. The exercise pool is not continually staffed.
Only bathing suits made for swimming are allowed, shorts and other clothes are not allowed due to hygienic reasons.
