Exhibition of Bomarsund andthe demilitarisation  in Prästö, Sund, about 1 km from the Prästö ferry harbour, or 1 km from the fortress ruins of Bomarsund.

The exhibition is the beginning of a visitor centre in Bomarsund. By means of a miniature model and a DVD film over Skarpans and the fortress, you can see how the Bomarsund area looked in the Russian times. There are also uniforms, crinolines, and peasant clothes on display, in the fashion of the 1850's. That way you'll get an idea of Bomarsund life in this era.
