By private boat to Åland

Gästhamnar, Rödhamn

The guest harbours in Åland offer excellent accommodations in a beautiful environment in close proximity to sights, activities and restaurants. The guest harbours are often situated near residential areas and therefore offer access to good service.

Altogether there are 19 guest and service harbours in Åland, placed in Mariehamn, in the countryside and in the archipelago parishes. When you stay in one of the guest harbours in Mariehamn you'll stay almost in the centre of town within comfortable walking distance from restaurants, cafés, grocer's, museums, shopping and entertainment.

The guest harbours outside Mariehamn are close to just about everything – in the archipelago village Degerby at Föglö there is everthing from restaurants, an inn and a guesthouse with café, to a tennis court, gym, museum, hairdresser and staffed tourist information. And while Karlby guest harbour at Kökar is right next to beautiful hotel Brudhäll the Kastelholm's guest harbour is a proud neighbour of Åland's only medieval castle, Kastelholm.

Don't miss the sheltered service harbour at Rödhamn where you'll stay really close to nature with the sea as your neighbour. Despite the fact that the harbour lacks some conveniences, such as running water and electricity, this island of great natural beauty always offers its visitors a memorable stay.
