Take the ferry to Åland

A comfortable voyage with good food and entertainment onboard
brings you quickly and conveniently to Åland. Onboard you can also
admire the sea view and shop tax-free goods. The ferries make port at
Åland about 30 times daily.
From Sweden
When you travel from Sweden the
journey is just 2-2.5 quick hours from Grisslehamn or Kapellskär. The
short voyage is especially suitable for families and if you travel to
Åland with your own car.
If you want more time for entertainment and experiences onboard, the
ferries also offer several daily departures from Stockholm. With the
larger cruise ships the ferry ride is about 6 hours.
From Finland
As a boat traveller from Finland
you can choose between departures from Helsinki or Turku to Åland. The
voyage is shortest from Turku - you'll be in the Åland island world
after 5 hours journey.
Archipelago ferry from Finland
For travellers
from Finland, Ålandstrafiken's ferries are also an alternative,
especially if you plan to visit one of the six Åland archipelago
municipalities. The archipelago ferries depart from Osnäs or Galtby
near Turku. The voyage takes you via the Åland archipelago islands to
Hummelvik in Vårdö (Northern Line) or Långnäs in Lumparland (Southern
Line) on the main island.
Book your voyage with the archipelago ferries by calling Ålandstrafiken
ph. +358 18 525 100. Especially in the summer it's important to make
your reservations well in advance. Also note that you cannot book a
journey from the first to the final destination without staying one
night in the archipelago.
Persons travel free of charge with the archipelago
ferries but you pay a fee for bicycles, motorcycles, cars, caravans and other
vehicles.
