Join me on an exciting fishing trip
I grew up in a fishing family, and through the years, I have gained a long and varied experience of boats, life at sea and different kinds of fishing. I naturally also have the requisite competence – a master’s certificate.
It does not matter whether you are a beginner or a professional, anybody can experience the joy of catching a fish. With more than 30 years of fishing experience, I can give you the best conditions for making your fishing trip a memory to cherish.
We spin for pike and perch, and also trout. We angle for perch and whitefish. Dibbing for Baltic herring is both fun and rewarding. I organize winter fishing under the ice and, weather permitting, unique netting for whitefish. Since I have always strived for long-tern, sustainable fishing, with the least possible impact on the environment, I implement a catch and release policy.
Your fishing trip includes rods and fishing equipment of the highest quality, as well as coffee and sandwiches that are best sampled on any of the many small islands in the beautiful archipelago in Åland.
The boat is moored by sailing ship Pommern, in central Mariehamn. I naturally organize fishing trips over most of Åland.

Our boat, the Fiskelyckan
Our boat, the Fiskelyckan, has been specially constructed and fully equipped for sports fishing. It is of the Nymar brand, with a total length of 6.7 meters. It is both spacious and stable, with good seaworthiness even in severe weather. The boat has been licensed to carry 8 people, however, only 4 of them may be fishing. It has been inspected and has all necessary safety equipment. The engine is a Tohatsu 90 hp, with direct injection that results in cleaner exhaust fumes and fulfils all environmental requirements. As the only engines in the world, the Tohatsu ones to fulfil SOLAS, the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea. The hull has been coated with Neptune Formula, a biological and completely non-toxic hull paint.
Join me and discover the archipelago in all seasons
Senskär
Senskär is a small island in the southern part of the Mariehamn archipelago. The island is a nature reserve, with smooth rocks and beautiful scenery. There are also two grilling sites, equipped with tables.
Kobba klintar
At the entrance to the western harbour of Mariehamn are the Kobba Klintar (Kobba peaks). They are a popular destination for day trips, where you can explore the old pilot’s cabin and the new pilot’s house with its foghorn. Today, the pilot’s house is a museum. You will find artist Juha Pykäläinen’s pilot made out of wood on its balcony, where he is looking out to sea.
