The nature

Visit us during spring or autumn!
Nice strolling areas are inviting for hikes. In the forest you can pick both berries and mushrooms. The fauna is lively and the deer often show up when they stroll through the area. A family of hares that live in the neighbourhood have become so tame that some believe they are domestic rabbits! Normally this hare family has a litter three times a year.

Visit us in spring when the bird life is intensive. Species such as starlings, swallows, robins, great tit, blue tit, flycatchers and the black birds are common guests. The chaffinches like to pay a visit to the verandas for a meal of buns and bread. Some chaffinches even have their own names, call for Knut!

You can see different seabirds swimming nearby, such as eider, goldeneye, tufted ducks, mergansers and mallards. Even swan families swim by sometimes. A mighty sight is the sea eagles that sail high above the holiday cottages. They are nesting slightly north of the cottages.

During the seabirds breeding season, April 15th to June 15th , it's not allowed to visit the small islands in Marsund.

Welcome to enjoy the peace and quiet near the nature with us.
