Käringsund Marina
Sail into a living archipelago harbour - full of activity!
Käringsund Marina 60¤14,0'N - 19¤32,06'E
Käringsund Marina nestles in a sheltered lagoon by the old fishing village. The landscape is idyllic with about 50 boathouses that form a genuine archipelago environment!
Landmarks
The sea approach to Käringsund is characterised by two buildings that dominate the coastline. The first is the Eckerölinjen ferry terminal from which the ferries depart on their daily tours to Grisslehamn. The second building is the distinguished old Post and Customs House that was built in 1828 by the Emperor Alexander of Russia.

Practical information about the marina
The marina has about 50 berths where as a guest you have access to electricity supplies, internet access and a well-equipped service building with showers, saunas and laundry facilities (coin operated) as well as sewage and pump-out facilities. There is also a civic amenity site near the service building where you can sort and recycle your waste. In addition, by the main Bara Bodegan building you can buy fuel and empty your septic tank, as well as make payments and obtain your code lock to the service building.

Service
Right next to the marina is the cosy café Bara Bodegan with a view over the idyllic boathouses where scenes from Astrid Lindgren's "Seacrow Island" were filmed! You can also get light snacks such as sandwiches, ice cream and home-made buns and cakes to eat with your coffee, as well as various drinks besides wine and beer.
And the rest...
There is a museum, a wild safari park, a shop, a restaurant, the ferry terminal and both beautiful rocks and child-friendly beaches within walking distance. If you don't feel like walking, there are bicycles that can be borrowed free of charge for our guests!
