The Von Knorring museum

The Von Knorring museum is located at Pålsböle, Finström some 300 meters from the Finström church. Since the year 1995, the Finström Committee for Culture and Recreation uses the bottom storey as an exhibition area. Every year, an exhibition theme with bearing on the locality is chosen.

This summer’s exhibition is on the theme of “Weights and measures – standards old and new”. This year visitors will see objects that are used for weighing and measuring. Objects and terms will feature that have disappeared - or are in the process of disappearing - from everyday life.

Recurring each year:
The legendary parsons Frans Peter von Knorring (1792-1875) and Valdemar Nyman (1904-1998) are presented.
