Art from the Åland at it’s best!
The Åland Art museum was founded in 1963 and is province museum for art from Åland. The permanent exhibition displays the development of Åland from mid 1800’s to present. Some ten special exhibitions with varying themes are shown yearly with artists from Åland as well as from other nations.
The museum is actively working to partly be an inspirational forum for the inhabitants in the province and partly to function as a cultural bridge between Sweden and Finland.
