Are you looking for something a little extra – peace and quite close to the sea? Do you want to spend time with your family in a beautiful and peaceful environment? Or are you looking for the excitement of catching the big old pike together with your friends? If so, Langviken is the place for you!

We have eight self-catering cottages. ;The cottages vary in size and standard - from three to five stars, accommodating two to eight people - and also have different surroundings. All cottages except one have their own piece of shoreline with either sand or smooth rocks and a floating jetty. The distance to the shoreline is 15-70 m.

Our cottages are very popular with sport fishers during spring and autumn and each cottage has a boat included in the price. Extra boats and outboard motors are available for rent and you can also buy the necessary fishing licenses from us. Licenses can be bought for waters encompassing an area of just over 20 sq. km.

The fishing waters include reedy bays (good for pike and perch!) and areas around small islands and skerries. Many of our guests fish practicing catch and release – after all, it’s the excitement of the catch that is the most important thing!

If you choose to eat what you catch we have specially built tables for gutting and cleaning your catch. Fish smokers are available free of charge, and we are, of course, happy to give you instructions on how to use them and any assistance that you may need.

Pike, perch and walleye can be comfortably cleaned and smoked. During early spring and late autumn you might catch a trout – if you are lucky!  In winter season jigging on the ice is popular.

If you want to make sure you find the best spots for fishing you can hire a professional fishing guide – he’s a local and lives close to Langviken.  ”Our” fishing guide will take you to the best places in his own boat, accommodating a maximum of six people. Book ahead!

On the Aland Islands all distances are short – we are located 32 km from Mariehamn and 42 km from
Eckerö harbour. There is a supermarket, bank, gas station and postal office at a distance
of 16 km from Langviken, restaurant and mini-golf

Our cottages are family run and we have been receivin
guest since the 1950’s.  Since we first started we have built new cottages and renovated the older ones.  We like to brag about our familiar service – we live next door to our cottages. If the outboard is giving you trouble, if you need to borrow a cup of sugar, or if you want some advice to choose the destination for your next excursion - there is always someone there to help you. Many of our guests return every year – the record is 34 years! – so we advise you to book well ahead if you want to be sure to get the cottage and week that you want.  You always book your cottage directly with us – and we can answer all your questions!

Everybody can find their favourite cottage!
Our two new cottages are very comfortable and well equipped. You will find a dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi, your own sauna and floating jetty – and a beautiful sea view.  In these cottages the beds are made when you arrive, final cleaning and your own boat is included in the rent. These cottages are open year round, for winter fishing, Christmas and New Year celebrations.  Or just for relaxing and enjoying the calm and quite – all you will hear is the birds and the wind.

The three- and four star cottages also satisfy most requirements.  They are well equipped, cosy and have their own shoreline and sea view. These cottages also come with their own boat and floating jetty.  Sauna with separate shower room and washing machine is available and included in the price of the cottage.

The Sauna Boat – an experience that you will never forget!
Our sauna boat has a sundeck on the roof and can be driven by outboard motor to a secluded bay where you can anchor, take a sauna and jump straight into the sea!  The boat is also equipped with a grill for an ”in between swims” barbeque.

You can rent the sauna boat even if you are not staying with us, we look forward to receiving your booking!
