Mariehamnsgalleriet shows the miniature town exhibition: ”Mariehamn, during the 1920’s”, which consists of eight exhibition cases with house models in the scale 1:100. It is the Mariehamn’s senior citizen association’s subdivision “Nybyggarne” (eg. “The pioneers”) that has built and still are building on the model project. They want to awaken an interest in preserving old environments at the same time as they aim to preserve the knowledge about old building traditions.
