Åland’s Organ Festival, 40th Anniversary. This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Åland Organ Festival, in fact the oldest of the annual musical events of Åland — otherwise, too, rich in musical talent and experiences. Since its beginning in 1975, the festival has become a venue for organ-lovers from all over the world, both in respect of performing artists and audience. So we are immensely proud to present this year’s series of concerts and both on our own part and on part of the whole region of Åland, we consider it an honour to be able to invite you to come and celebrate with us.
Among this year’s concerts, three in particular will celebrate the anniversary:
— the opening concert in Jomala Church to which we again, as several times before, gladly welcome the Academic Capella of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology of Stockholm, Sweden, with Maestro Gunnar Julin as its conductor, and Roman Perucki, from Gdansk, Poland, at the organ;
