New name, new plans – Sandösund will become a holiday resort this summer. Two new terrace houses with 8 flats will be completed before midsummer. These flats will also suit to the physically impaired.
In Sandösund it is possible to camp by the sea or stay overnight in a small cabin – with or without a kitchenette - or to live comfortably in our blue log cabin featuring a sauna and internet connection. In our new terrace houses we offer bed and breakfast accommodation.
Sandösund’s shallow sandy beach is one of the best in Åland and is well suited for children.
Paddling in our beautiful archipelago scenery is a great experience. We rent out kayaks that are of high quality and manufactured by the famous Swedish VKV boat and canoe works.
Cycling is an excellent way to explore Åland. We rent out bikes and help with organising a pleasant bike trip: we give advice on tourist attractions and book accommodation in nearby Brändö or Kumlinge islands, if needed. Those who want to stay in Sandösund - why not to try a round on our newly-built minigolf course?
Our holiday resort also offers delicious food. Sandösund Taverna serves breakfast at 8.30 am for those who have booked in advance. There is always fish in our menu; usually caught locally. With food we serve a glass of good wine or a pint of local Stallhagen beer. And to cap the memorable visit to Sandösund, Lena’s Åland pancake served with plum pudding and whipped cream is a must to taste.
Sandösund is open for groups from 15 April till 30 October (except from 20 June till 15 August). Individual visitors can book accommodation year-around.
