Seffer’s Folk Museum
The Seffer’s Folk Museum is located to
the old farmstead Seffers in the village of Lövö at Vårdö. Professor
Otto Andersson bought the farm and gave it to the Vårdö agrarian guild
and the Martha society. Mr. Andersson’s intentions were already from
the beginning to make a folk museum about the Vårdö island.
Today only the main building still remains of the old farmstead.
Old Lövö natives confirm that the house was built right after the
Russians enter Åland in the 1700’s in what was called “Stora Ofreden”.
Seffers folk museum is open June 29th - August 7th 2009, Monday-Friday 11 am - 4 pm. Other times by agreement.
