Take part of the Åland school-history!
The teacher Viktor Jansson from Vårdö built the building where the Åland School museum is located today. Jansson lived here and lectured in the school until his death in 1895. The school inventories are gathered from all over Åland and some are also from the old school. The teacher’s living quarters are partly furnished with Viktor Jansson’s and his family’s belongings.
The ethnological section of the museum department at Ålands Landskapstyrelse is responsible for the Åland School Museum.
