Tjudö Vineyard

Tjudö Vineyard is situated in the middle of the Åland nature. Wines are distilled from the farm's own fruits and berries. There is a possibility to participate in a guided tour among thousands of apple- and cherry trees. You'll get acquainted with the distilling process and will also get a chance to taste the products in an old threshing house. Welcome to visit us in an idyllic environment.  

A genuine farm festival
Crayfish parties are a given during crayfish time, and of course they should be caught in Åland, well, even at the farm! We would be happy to arrange your company party, family reunion or summer feast with good food and wine from the vineyard. We can cater to up to 100 guests. We'd like to tempt you with dinners where ostrich is on the menu. There are many possibilities and we can assure you a pleasant and different experience in an old-fashioned and enjoyable place.

Ostriches and crayfish
There are possibilities of many fun experiences at the farm. Go see the ostriches that walk around in the yard or study the Åland crayfish that live in the ponds. There are swings, a sandbox and other fun things to do for the young in the family.

Ålvados - genuinely home-distilled
These three are our pride and joy (see the picture). Tjudö Vineyard has three own home-distillers. In these we distil our apple wine until it's good and strong - Ålvados Come and have a taste yourself!

Åland has its own wine - Västergårds Äppelvin - that is produced at the Tjudö Vineyard with apples that has ripened on the farm's own trees. Visit the vineyard, walk around among the fruit trees and see how the wine is produced. The guided tour ends in the old threshing house and here you can sample the drinks directly from the wine cellar.

At Tjudö Vineyard there are 10.000 apple trees of different kinds - the grove is the largest in all of Finland - and here cherries are also grown in a large scale.

At Tjudö Vineyard we also distils Scandinavian Vodka from the fruits at the vineyard. The apple vodka is called Ålvados and the cherry vodka tastes so good that a choosy jury selected Tjudö Vineyard "Archipelago distiller of the year" (Årets Skärgårdsbrännare). In a fenced yard, stately ostriches walk around and many crayfish live in large ponds. During the guided tour you will also visit the animals and will learn about their life and care.

Time for the activity: Guided tour 1,5 hours Clothing: Leisure clothing according the weather. You'll be outdoors a lot of the time. Other: We can arrange parties such as barn dance, crayfish party and company party with served food.

We arrange festivities of all kinds at the vineyard. Weddings, company parties, crayfish parties, birthday parties etc.
